Convocation means to come together. It is a special tradition at OSU-Cascades, marking the start of a student's academic journey at OSU-Cascades and welcoming them into the community through formal remarks.

Cathy Marshall '81
News Director, KTVZ
Cathy brings 40 years of experience in broadcast news as a reporter, anchor and news editor to Central Oregon. She has worked as an anchor for CNN and with news stations in Boston, New Haven, Seattle and Portland, Oregon, and as a sideline reporter for Beaver Sports Network.
Nikita Rubocki '22
Software Engineer, Professional Freeskier
An Honors College graduate and Distinguished Student who competed at the Olympic Winter Games tryouts, Nikita demonstrated peer leadership in making technology less intimidating to students from all backgrounds. She was a finalist in the National Center for Women in Information Technology's Collegiate Award for undergraduate research.
