Day of Campus Care

Join fellow students and employees for the annual Day of Campus Care, a community volunteer day focused on campus beautification and stewardship. Volunteer projects will take place across campus throughout the day and are designed to improve and refresh the spaces we all share.

Participants may register for a morning shift, afternoon shift, or both. Morning projects will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., followed by a complimentary pizza and soda lunch from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m for all volunteers. in RAYH Atrium. Afternoon projects will take place from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

You are encouraged to arrive at the beginning of your selected timeslot, but volunteers are welcome to come and go as needed and are not required to stay for the entire shift. All volunteers will receive a free Day of Campus Care long sleeve t-shirt while supplies last.

Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothing appropriate for outdoor and light cleaning work. Gloves are encouraged for applicable projects.

Volunteer Project Options
Campus Grounds Cleaning
Help remove large piles of tumbleweeds and invasive weeds accumulating along campus fence lines and landscaped areas.

Fleet Vehicle Detailing and Upkeep
Assist with washing university fleet vehicles inside and out while helping ensure vehicles are cleaned, organized, and ready for use.

Window Washing (Indoor and Outdoor)
Help clean large, accessible window areas around campus buildings without the use of ladders.

Whiteboard Cleaning
Use classroom schedules to identify available classrooms and help deep-clean whiteboards throughout campus.

Trash Pickup Around Campus
Walk campus pathways, parking lots, and surrounding areas to help remove litter and improve campus appearance.

Patio Furniture Cleaning
Clean and organize outdoor patio furniture around campus dining and gathering areas.

Registration is required. Participants will select their preferred shift(s) and volunteer project during registration.
