High Desert Museum Visit! Japanese American Culture Celebration!

Join us in visiting the High Desert Museum! This museum focuses on the unique Central Oregon High Desert region. Highlights include local animals and plants, artful exhibits, and the history of this region. This trip will provide tickets for admission and transportation to and from the museum. This trip will allow participants to wander through the museum at their own pace. This trip won't necessarily prescribe a tour schedule once inside the museum and participants can explore individually or group up with others on the trip to explore together.

Additionally, the High Desert Museum is holding a Japanese American Culture Celebration. They will feature performances by award-winning artist SORA Shodo (pictured), Ikebana workshops with Rachel Alm, and paper crane making. This event will provide an opportunity to reflect and provide good wishes for the future. The museum is hosting this celebration in partnership with the Japanese American Society of Central Oregon.

Participants must travel in the van from campus to the museum, as well as the return trip back to campus.

Please cancel your reservation at least 48 hours in advance to allow others to attend the trip.
