Headwaters 2025!

Start your journey at OSU-Cascades with us for three wonderful days filled with exploring Bend's backyard whitewater rafting and day hiking! Connect with fellow students while paddling on the water in the beautiful Deschutes River. After getting off the water, enjoy newfound friendships back at camp and sleep in the cool, crisp air while underneath the stars.

Give Back
We look to Headwaters participants as student leaders. We ask that you sign up for at least one two-hour shift during move-in weekend (Saturday, Sept 20 - Sunday, Sept 21) to help welcome students to campus. A link to sign up to help with move-in will be sent at a later date.

We welcome all experience levels for this trip. Please note that this trip is designed for people who have little to no experience with whitewater rafting. The nature of the trip and difficulty will reflect this intention. If you are highly experienced and/or looking for an advance whitewater raft trip to push your limits, please understand this might not be the trip for you.

Start your journey at OSU-Cascades with us on three great days of exploring new heights while top rope rock climbing! Experience the exquisite rock that is unique to Central Oregon while learning how to rock climb. Enjoy the unique feeling that only comes from climbing and helping support each other in your group while tackling the challenges of each route up the rock. Don't forget to enjoy the view once you are at the top! Return to camp after a full day to share stories and laughs with new friends before falling asleep underneath the stars each night.

Hike along scenic trails and connect with fellow students while each night creating a new camp to call home. Enjoy cool, crisp nights underneath the stars while chatting with new friends and sharing laughs!

We welcome all experience levels for this trip. Please note that this trip is designed for people who have little to no experience backpacking. The nature of the trip and difficulty will reflect this intention. If you are highly experienced and/or looking for an advanced backpacking trip to push your limits, please understand this might not be the trip for you.
