Hello Bug Nerds, Flyfishing Fanatics, and River Enthusiasts!
Ever wonder how our beautiful trout in the Deschutes get so big? Well, it's bugs. Everything is 🐛bugs🐛.
Beneath the surface of our waterways, an unseen world has been thriving for more than 300 million years. Dr. Jerry Freilich, a local entomologist, is very excited to present the "Secret Life of Rivers": a lecture on the little things that run the world of ponds and streams. The Network for Entomological Study and Taxonomy (NEST) invites you to a free night of discovery on Tuesday, Nov. 3 in TYKH111. Pizza, salad, and refreshments will be served at 5:00, with Dr. Jerry showing off his beautiful collection until 5:30, when the lecture will begin. Register in the Events tab (https://cglink.me/2gD/r2137164) if you’d like food (arrive by 5:00), or just drop in before 5:30 for the lecture. We'll see you tomorrow!
